Energy Absorbing Body Structure
4Runner’s impact-absorbing body efficiently and effectively channels impact energy around and away from the passenger cabin. In the event of an impact with a pedestrian, specially constructed zones in the hood, fenders and cowl are also designed to crush on impact, absorbing energy in order to reduce potential injury.
